Providing the client with both content development and website design services, AIMG was presented with the task of developing an identity unique to Phancy Screens that also managed to unite the company to the manufacturer and the five product lines it represents as a distribution partner. The goal was to avoid “duplicate content,” a term used predominantly in search engine optimization to refer to content on a web page being the same as or too similar to the content on another web page, even if it appears at a different site. Resellers and distributors who use product information obtained from the manufacturer run the risk of ‘duplicate content’ if they use it without significantly modifying it first. AIMG went much further to create unique content that also reflects Phancy Screens’ history, professionalism, value-added services, and singular qualification as expert screenologists.

 

The clear and concise navigational structure offers two important benefits. First, it quickly guides the site visitor to the product information he desires; and secondly, it allows the client to easily expand the website to include additional product lines introduced by the manufacturer over time. To enhance the end-user experience, Flash™ animation was used to create a fun little visual feature and attract attention to the call-to-action. When a user who has identified the product line that interests him mouses-over the ‘View Our Selection’ call-to-action, an animated ‘mesh screen’ comes down over the image. When the mouse is removed, the ‘mesh screen’ goes back up again.

 

Videos provided by the manufacturer were seamlessly integrated to play on the Phancy Screens website.
